2 by 1 Multiplication

Today in class we learned how to break apart larger numbers in order to multiply them. I have solved the first problem of tonight's homework as an example.

Step 1: Break apart the 2 digit number into tens and ones.
Step 2: Multiply the first factor by the broken apart numbers.
Step 3: Add the products from each problem back together.
Step 4: Circle your answer.
