I sent an e-mail last week to let you all know about a new feature on the blog. On the left side under "Important Links", there is a link called "Writers' Workshop Help". This link has all of the charts and work we've been doing in writing. Even if your child never brings home writing assignments they need to complete, it's great to know what is expected of a 4th grade writer. Our writing is preparing us for the Writing STAAR test that happens at the end of March!
Reminders/Upcoming Events:
- Thursday is Jumpoline night from 5-7. Each jumper costs $7. Teachers and WBE families will be there. I hope you can all come to join in on the fun!
- Kiss-O-Grams will be on sale from Tuesday (Feb. 7) to Monday (Feb. 13). Kiss-O-Grams will be sold for 10 cents each during the lunch hours (10:45-12:45). Students can purchase the kisses and send them to a friend or teacher. They will be delivered on Valentine's Day.
- We still need DONATIONS of Hershey kisses (nut free) and small Ziploc bags. Please send them to school! We will accept donations throughout the week.
- Yearbooks are currently on sale. They are $20 and can be purchased with cash or check (made out to WBE). Order forms can be turned into me (I am in charge of the yearbook). It will be 80 COLOR pages filled with pictures from events throughout the year.
- I will be out on Thursday (Feb. 9). Mrs. Dzialo will be at school, but if you need something please call the front office so they can send a message to her.
- We will have our Valentine's Party on Tuesday, February 14th beginning at 1:45. During the party, students can exchange Valentine's. We have 20 students and I will send a class list home this week. Students can bring a pre-decorated box to collect their Valentine's or I will supply a brown lunch sack.
