We accomplished a lot this second week of school. We made sure our number foundations were solid so that we can move onto multiplication next week. We also learned more about safe science lab practices so that we can use all of our tools safely and correctly each time we "do science".
Orange class showing off our new science goggles. As scientists, we will wear these throughout the year during science investigations.
Reminders:
- Breakfast Club begins on Monday in Ms. Losli's room (pink door) at 7:15. If you need to finish your homework, get help with your homework, or want an opportunity to use technology that you don't have at home (laptops), you are welcome to take your breakfast to Ms. Losli's room.
- We will be going to the Science Lab next week: Orange Class is Monday from 8-8:40 and Blue class is Tuesday from 1-1:40. If you would like to come help, please e-mail me.
- The first PTA meeting of the year is Tuesday at 6:30. There will be a magic show for the kids after the quick "business" portion of the meeting. The PTA does a lot for our school. Supporting the PTA means you are supporting the learning of your child and their teachers.
- Thank you to those who attended 4th Grade Orientation. If you have any further question, please let me know. If you did not attend 4th Grade Orientation, please take time to view the presentation.
- The PTA Fall Fundraiser packets have gone home. Students will have about 2 weeks to sell items that will raise money for our school. The goal for the school has been set at $30,000. With everyone's help and selling at least one item, that goal is attainable. If you have any questions, please contact with WBE PTA.
- I am in need of at least 2 EMPTY Pringles containers with the lids. If you have them and could send them to school, I would be grateful. :)
