I can't believe we're already 7 weeks into this year. We've been learning so much and I think most of us are enjoying it a bit as well. Last week was our Multiplication Bee. I'd like to congratulate our classroom winners and representatives in the 4th grade Bee: Annabella and Rateb! They did an excellent job and we're all very proud of them. Everyone else did a great job as well and needs to continue practicing their math facts...it will make math this year go much more smoothly.
What we're learning...
Math - patterns, table relationships
Science - physical properties of matter
Social Studies - European explorers
Writing - organization and voice
Reading - nonfiction, fact/opinion, text features/structure
Homework: (sorry, but no homework is available online this week)
Daily - Practice math facts and read for 20 minutes.
Monday - Algebraic Reasoning Step Two A
Tuesday - News or Views
Wednesday - Algebraic Reasoning Step Two B
Thursday - Climbing Blindly
Reminders:
- Library is Tuesday afternoon...Don't forget your books so you can check out new ones!
- Ms. Leining will be out of the classroom, but on-campus for a meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
- Vision/Hearing screenings will take place on Wednesday. Please make sure your child has his/her glasses, if they wear any.
- Marathon Kids Kick-Off Event is Saturday morning.
- PTA fundraising event kicks off this week...remember that all funds raised directly benefit Wells Branch Elementary!
