I've added a link to the left of this blog titled, "4th Grade Reading List". Feel free to look it over for suggestions for your child to read. I've highlighted the books in yellow that I have in the classroom.
Volunteer Needed:
I'm looking for a volunteer to make "cubbies" out of poster board for each student. It's fairly simple work...it just takes a little time to cut and fold the poster board. If you're interested in doing that, let me know and I can send the poster board home.
What we're learning:
Math - patterns, combinations
Science - UV rays
Social Studies - Texas explorers
Writing - fictional writing, organization, word choice
Reading - nonfiction, main idea/details
Homework: (not available online this week)
Daily - read 20 minutes, practice multiplication facts
Monday - no school
Tuesday - short and long /a/ p.4
Wednesday - Algebraic Reasoning Step Two C
Thursday - Main Idea and Details p.169
Reminders:
- Conferences are Monday, October 11th. Please be sure to show up on time for your scheduled conference. If you are unable to make it, please e-mail or call to reschedule. Be sure to double check your time here.

- Library is Tuesday afternoon. Don't forget your books so that you can check out new ones.
