Ms. Leining is getting older this week!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and if you're a football fan, I hope your favorite team made it to the Super Bowl.

Thank you to everyone who brought snack last week. We should be good for a couple of weeks with what was brought! I am grateful and so is the class come 9:00 everyday!

Reminders:

- 4th grade is in need of donations of Hershey kisses (without nuts) and snack or sandwich sized Ziploc bags for our annual Kiss-O-Gram fundraiser that will be held February 14-18.

- Grades are constantly updated online. Be sure to check your child's progress on the Home Access Center (link is on the left). All missing work should be turned in as soon as possible. Any grades below a 70 may be corrected. I've begun separating out the below 70 work and passing it out during Explorer Time when I am available to reteach the concept. If your child hasn't brought home corrected work or work that needs to be corrected, it's probably shoved (nicely) in their desk. ;)

- We will be taking a PRACTICE Reading TAKS on Wednesday. We will be following all TAKS procedures and guidelines. In order to do well on the practice, be sure they get a good night's rest and time to play outside the night before. It's also very important that they arrive on time to school on Wednesday!

- The Science Fair will be on Thursday. All projects are due at school by Tuesday. I know there has been some miscommunication with dates, but the class has been told many, many, many, many times that the project is due at the beginning of the week. Everyone is welcome to attend the Science Fair and look at all the cool projects that were entered. They will be displayed in the gym and cafeteria along with some interactive science booths hosted by the teachers.

- I am still in need of 2 bags of marshmallows and 1 box of toothpicks. Any donations are greatly appreciated!!!!

- Wear your class shirt on Friday!
