After I e-mailed out the flyer from the Texas Stars Hockey about free tickets for A and A/B Honor Roll, I had an idea....
Would a group of kids and parents want to meet me at the Cedar Park Center for a Texas Stars game? I looked up some dates and here are a few to consider:
Friday, December 9th at 7:30
Saturday, December 10th at 7:00
Or we can wait until January...
Saturday, January 7th at 7:00
Sunday, January 8th at 5:00
Friday, January 20th at 7:30
I think the best way to do this is let me know if you are interested and what date would work best for you. I will make a decision based on the majority of responses.
If we wait until January, your kids would have the opportunity to earn the free tickets for their report cards that will be distributed in January for the 2nd 9 weeks. Remember that if your child earns A or A/B Honor Roll at all this year, they can take their report card into any A+ Federal Credit Union in Austin and receive a ticket for them and a guest to attend a hockey game. If your child does not earn this or you will need tickets for more members of your family, I can check on group rates, which are about $10 per ticket. (Sidenote: If you have children in younger grades, they too can take their report card into the credit union. The people there know that the younger grades don't have honor roll, so they will honor any report card that is brought in.)
