This week started our Writers' Workshop! All the kids are now decked out with tool belts to keep track of their writing tools. We had a great first day of writing and I guarantee you will all be so proud of your writers.
Just a reminder...I will not be having morning tutoring this week, as I have Morning Literacy Duty. Afternoon tutoring on Thursday is still on the schedule. Please always check the schedule on the blog for the most current information.
Upcoming Events/Reminders:
- Writers' Workshop takes place from 10:30-2:45 every day this week. It is VERY important your child be here everyday!
- Writing STAAR will be held next Tuesday and Wednesday. Please be sure your child gets a good night's rest and a fulfilling and nutritious dinner and breakfast on those days. I will be providing muffins and orange juice on the days of the test.
- Report Cards will be sent home on Monday (March 26th).
- Explorer Excellence Awards will be at 8:40am on Tuesday, April 3rd.
- The Spring Festival will be held on Saturday, March 31st from 2-6pm. We are in need of donations for our baskets (Fun in the Sun & Cooking). Classes with the most donations win extra tickets to the games. We are also in need of volunteers. Forms are being sent hom in Thursday folders. If you are able to volunteer, please return the form ASAP.

Writing - EVERYTHING! :)
Homework:
Daily - Practice multiplication facts for at least 10 minutes. Read for at least 20 minutes.
Monday through Thursday - Editing Practice
